UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

The lighting seems more in her favor here, and this one shows off her beak. Both are nice shots, but I agree, I'd pick this one.

I'm so behind in the galleries, but let me say, Bill, that I am delighted to see you shooting birds! Lovely images and great to see different birds from ours, like this grosbeak!

I love how close you can get ..it's amazing to me!

I agree, indeed an improvement, especially clarity-wise. I like the way the Grosbeak virtually fills the scene horizontally.

She looks lovely against this background and seems to be enjoying her seed.

I see absolutely nothing gross about that bird's beak! ;P Actually I wonder if that is what is behind the bird's name, did someone somewhere along the line decide it was "grossly" large in comparison to the rest of the bird body, or was a "gross" colour, or some such other idea... All kidding aside, this is an excellent shot! Bravo! Now, I wonder what colours this little birdie would come up in with IR (nudge nudge, although getting her to cooperate while you focus then put on the lens would be very challenging)

You know, my dear, I think you're improving every day with these shots! They started out great and are just getting better. I'm totally excited for you, learning so much and having such a good time! :)
