Description
It was supposed to look like a swampy atmosphere, but it just ended up looking kind of dark.
I cranked everything way up on this and let it go overnight. It took 13 hours on my computer. The most I've ever done before is maybe 3 hours. But I reformatted my computer and cleaned it up, so I wanted to see what it could do. It could never handle this many billions of polygons before, so I'm kind of happy with that.
For all that computation the only things that seemed to make a difference in this huge render time that I was happy with was that the clouds/fog aren't grainy for a change, and the anti-aliasing on everything is greatly improved.

I love the humor in this... Great work on the Atmosphere. Don't you think it's a B***H that it takes up so much render time ??

It really is. A newer computer would help, of course. Mine is a few years old. I've upgraded it over the years, and one last time this past week, but the limitations of the stock won't allow anything else to be improved. Oh well. This render pretty much had everything bumped up either as high as it would go or as high as it would matter. Not as much improvement as I was expecting, but this isn't a very complicated scene. On the other hand, the smoothness of the anti-alias and the de-graining of the always grainy clouds/fog were pretty much worth it, but only because I let it go all night when I slept. I have this tendency to sit at the screen and watch it go. That gets pretty boring after about 20 minutes.

Oh my God. You're right, Wrpspeed. How the hell did I get that so terribly wrong? It was late. I'll blame it on that. And I'll also change the title so I don't look so stupid.

very cool...nice whimsical scene-only beef is that the image isn't larger when you zoom:)
