Description

...another chance to have fun with some of the downloads I rarely or never have used. Poser animals (or people) tend to kill any realism in a render, and this is no exception, I'm afraid. Anyway, it was great fun painting with zebras etc. with the eco-painter :) - And the scene isn't so peaceful as it may look, see if you can spot why... Vue 7 Complete render, levels/colour corrections & framing with Photoshop. Poser animals from DAZ, plants from me. Thanks for taking a look, comments etc. welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

Yeah, excellent stuff Lars. Something I always wanted to do too. But you did it VERY well. As expected of course.

Fabulous scene - the lighting and atmosphere are superb. This is an interesting mix of African and European wildlife (the deer are definitely not African), and the rhino would not be found with herds of other animals, but what the heck - fantasy worlds are just that.... (sorry to be pedantic, I'm a zoologist :o))

Really a gorgeous job! I see why it's not so peaceful or won't be for long!

Thanks for your comments so far. @ "faroutsider": Of course this is an imaginary wildlife picture. If I had an impala model, I'd use that one instead of the (slightly modified) sika deer model. It had some of the right look, I thought. And, these "artistic liberties" are presented here all the time: Freshwater fish in the ocean and vice-versa. Asian, european and african plants mixed together in a jungle scene. Coconut palms in the desert. Standard Vue maples in a jurassic dinosaur scene (with reptiles from the cretaceous as well). If it's chosen, then it is artistic freedom. If not it's ignorance. Thanks again.

The cloudscape is lovely. The composition takes good advantage of it by using a low horizon line. I like the light too. Regarding the animals, I must confess I'd prefer to have them in a smaller number. Good work!
