All my friends
As you gaze upon the the water,
sit and gaze upon your soul.
Ask yourself " Am I the person I really want to see or an image of what others thought I should be?"
Once you so this , and decide which you are, it's time to follow your heart and let your soul guide you.
It has taken me awhile and a lot of encouragement, but I am finally finding my own path.
With a strong hand to help me back up the times that I falter, trying to make it to the top.
I will become who I was meant to be all my life.

Thank you Elfin12u for all the hand ups both in the past and in the future.
Thank you for all the encouragement, the shoulder to cry on, and the laughs you gave me and give me after the tears. I know the last five years have been turbulent with the losses and let downs, but I will never stray from your side. I will stand fast through all that life will throw into our path.
Thank you for helping me to realize I don't have to live my life to please everyone else. That being myself is more then enough.
Because of your encouragement my life has become so much fuller and way more satisfying to me.
Thank you for giving me the courage to break the strings of the puppeteers.

Awwwww!!! How do I comment on something like this? I rarely have moments where there is nothing to reply with, but this has left me a bit more than speechless. I would like to thank all of you who have commented and praised Cheri, for both her pictures and sentiments. You have no idea how much that all means to her, and how it makes her feel. Her own family was taken aback by her new found sense of worth and improved self image. Thank you all so much for accepting and welcoming her to this family. And thank you baby, for being my ever growing and changing butterfly, you are beautiful!!

A nice capture, and an interesting meditation, Cheri. I have always known the need to step back, take stock and think about the important things in life. Tomorrow will be a year since another major operation, and I am still here, Thanks be to God. Even through the painkillers I kept on thinking, and thanking, and accepting the changes in my life. I trusted in our Creator, and relaxed in the prayers of those who loved me. I trust that your path will be guided well. My old rule of thumb, from student days, is 'Whatever brings you closer to God, is from Him. Whatever thing takes you away, is not..' Have faith and hope and above all that little candle of joy, and its little sister wonder, that burns within us through the good times and the bad.
