Description

I normally don't like to post second versions so similar to the original but this time I made an exception. I received a request to show this image without the rock and trees and so here it is. I decided to also make it black and white, I felt it was a good variation. I must confess that I had hesitated if I should have done it when I made the original version. thumb_1885699.jpg I do apologize if this repetition feels boring to someone. :-) Although I liked the foreground stones as they were, in this B&W version the intense and long shadows didn't work so well and so I'm partially addressing a comment in the previous image. Thanks for watching!

I like this variant a lot, although the original with the multi coloured suns is probably still my favourite. The one in the middle, whilst still interesting defused some of the elements that made the composition powerful, I felt, where here they return again in full force and with a simplicity which is very powerful. It's good to see all three versions.

I love the way B&W gives a totally different feel to an image. I, for one, am not at all phased by the repetition - it's wonderful to see the creative process at work...

This is an improvement on the original. Much cleaner, with a stronger impact. - Bob
