Description

Hello and wonderful 23rd day of May. After 17 shots I did it. I got a clear non - blurred photo of the Lily of the Valley. It is really hard trying to stay in focus while you are lying on the damp grass. It makes it harder went an ant crawls inside your shirt while you are doing this. Then you are trying to make your capture in between the wind gusts, which are not bad, but the flower is very tiny and light. If you look closely behind the flower are those little maple tree seeds that fall in spring. That should give you a sense of scale for this little flower. I make it a point to always have Lily of the Valley growing. These came with the house. I love the way they smell. I had tons of these growing around my house which I lived in when my daughter Brandi was born. The smell always filled her room. These are also her favorite flowers as well. I hope you enjoy - I give you my all time number one favorite flower. The Lily of the Valley. Thank you for looking and all comments on my previous posts. All comments are greatly appreciated. Have a most wonderful day!!!!!!!!!!! Cheri

These always marked spring for me when I was growing up. Since moving south, I have not been able to grow them but I still love their dainty little bells. Stunning shot.

I have these outside of my bedroom window...I didn't plant them, but I always liked them. My grandmother had them growing along the borders of her property and I always used to use them as a stand-in for a forest for the Star Wars action figures I never went without. This brought back those memories and I love the intensity of the green and the soft contrast of the white. Great work.
