Description

I was given these in a huge bouquet. I am not sure what variety they are, but none the less they smell wonderful. I love lilacs. I love any sweet smelling flower. The other top favorite smellies are lily of the valley and yellow roses. My lilies are up right now and it amazes me how potent such a little flower can be. I have pictures of those too and will share, but today I was in a lilac mood. If anyone knows what variety these are please share, I would like to get at least one of this variety to add to my yard. Thank you all for all the wonderful comments on my previous posts and for any furure comments on this one. Your friend, Cheri They are off a lilac bush. A really tall one.

lovely shot, Lilac is one of my faves too, we have 3 trees in our garden, 2 lilac and 1 white. The flowers don't last long but the look and smell divine!

Snot! Elfin12u, they were a light purple --- ;i;ac color, and that was a big help. Your planting them when I find out.

Coming from a city known as the "Lilac City" I have to agree they are beautiful to look at. The scent though--I prefer to leave it outdoors, lol! Great capture and detail!

Lilacs always smell so good. I grew up with zillions of flowers all over the place. My mom and grandmother were pretty much garden fanatics...Now I have fond memories of impatiens, wax begonias, lillies of the valley and other things. This is a fantastic lilac shot, wonderful detail.

Hello ! These are from bushes and I believe it is called Syringa Vulgaris. Atleast it looks very much like the one I posted today and the day before yesterday. And I do not know the sort of my Lilacs either, but the sort I have is so rich and very robust and so is Syringa Vulgaris. I hope it will help you. This is such a lovely shot :-)
