Description

For Maria for just being a friend, nothing better than a silent ring, I am sure you now what I mean! Anyone that knows of Lily Of The Valley knows that it is a tiny bell shaped flower on stalks that blooms in May. They have only this week opened in my area:-) I had to get on hands and knees and almost on belly to get this shot. The flower is well hidden under tons of brush and other bulb flowers in a well shaded area and so I laid my camera flat in my hand with the lens pointed straight up and crossed my fingers mentally!!! I am very proud of this one, do not think I could have done much better:-) I have never picked the flower before so I was quite surprised to find how strong they are and stays strong without water! It fell out of the container I had it in and its still just as fresh today as yesterday! As usual I am behind, due to health, and am on limited time for now,but I will catch up as quickly as I can. Thank you for all the patience, for looking and for previous comments and favs!

Beautiful photo, Lynn. Lovely light quality... you are one of those on here who has really nurtured their talent in the past year so. You have a very natural gift of just 'seeing'.

A favorite from childhood. We always had them in the corner flowerbed and I waited for them every year to appear. Any time I heard a song with the words valley or lily in it, I thought of this. Amazing shot.
