BIO
I went to Edinburgh College of Art in the seventies. I wove tapestries for years and paint in oils. I like photography, learning classical guitar and lacemaking. I enjoy cycling, walking, reading, films.

Nice close-up. H'mm, no idea what it is either, but those fuzzy bracts around the blossom should give it away. Strange to see a 6 foot 4 inch plant not bloom yet.

Make sure that you have your mask, goggles and improvised 'Noddy Suit' on, Rozanne, before you tackle it, and of course the charged hedgecutters... ;o) Nice macro, but were you using a ladder, or just holding your camera up high? Warm regards, my friend, John.
