Description

This "peaceful" dove wasn't backing down before the grackle. The dove, all puffed up, seems to be saying, "Go ahead, knock the chip off my shoulder. I dare you!" The grackle, to his credit, turned the other cheek and flew off. Try a ZOOM...all the better. Thanks for stopping by, Bill:)

Great shot Mr. Bill. Dove said, in Clint Eastwood fashion, "Go ahead make my day." Bird of peace drew the line in the sand and ready for some kick butt. Excellent.

Wonderful image and narration Bill!!! I had a good giggle because I often watch similar stand offs between birds on my feeders! :)

as i already said the crazy-eyed bird is actually a jolly fellow! and doves aren't known as peaceful guys. Do they impale their victims or what? which is simply a perfect symbol for pacifists, who are remarkably violent here in Italy! ;D)
