Description

On May 30th my son Bill was amongst the 112 men to return home (Ft Dix) from Iraq. Bill is only one of the 3500 men the largest Battalion to be sent to Iraq. My son was returning from his 3rd tour of duty in Iraq. Today the rest of his platoon along with the Delta Force is returning home. That is some 200-400 men. During the next few months these men will be coming home. Of these 3500 men, Bill was one of 26 to earn "Hero of the Battlefield" award and one of 15 to earn the "Bronze Star" for above and beyond the call of duty. I do hope that all of you are having a great weekend!

Awesome! I'm sure this must be a special honor for you, not only having your son back safe and sound, but for the well-deserved awards and medals also. I'm an Army vet myself (spent my Basic and AIT there in Ft Dix, incidentally), I honor him and his fellow troops for their tireless duty. Regardless of how one feels about the situation abroad, these men and women put their lives on the line every day for the betterment of the world. Thanks for sharing! Happy Memorial Day!
