Description

While I have more tulips that I can post, I'll take a little break from those for now. Here is a recent one from a couple of weeks ago. I am not sure what this tiny little wildflower is called but there were clusters of them and this one was my favorite image. I captured it by lying low on the ground and used my Lensbaby and its macro kit. All softness is deliberate and in camera, only postwork was to increase contrast a bit (and of course the border and signature for the web.) Thanks for viewing!

These are light blue and white, named "Bluets" . Many cameras will not do them justice. A difficult one for sure. Nicely done. Bluets (Quaker Ladies) Houstonia caerulea (Hedyotis caerulea) • Family: Madder (Rubiaceae) • Habitat: fields • Height: 2-8 inches • Flower size: 1/2 inch across • Flower color: pale blue to white, yellow center • Flowering time: April to July • Origin: native
