Description

Returning to the Steamer once again, for this one. To create the fixed background wall, I created a plane, turned it vertical and skewed it a bit off center. The left side of the steamer then seems to be afixed to the wall in segmental pieces, much like a sculptural relief. It was fun to create. Thanks for viewing and leaving a comment or two. Marvelous work! I like the way this is lit. It gives it an air of mystery. One cannot tell if this is a small ship or a large steamers adrift on the seas at night.

It reminds me of a pop-up greetings card... the sort you open and get a surprise when the picture becomes 3d and pokes your eye out. A very interesting effect, keith. I like the use of the red light. It makes it sort of eery, yet adds a note of hope at the same time.
