My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I like the picture but I have to agree with you, the less people the better

Winthrop is a destination to me, a place I go to, then turn around and come back home... silly but true... It's a beautiful drive... It's all about the adventure... So I understand being ready to go the second you arrive...

Up here we have Barkerville lol. I have to agree, too many people spoils the scenery. Looks like it could be a nice spot though :-)

Ruth Lake east of here is the same kind of place; there's not "there" there!!

This looks like a fun place with a background view. Excellent. Aloha

But kids like other kids. Good for them:) Neat scenery for your turn-around.

AN awesome place so cosy.

wonderful scene and atmosphere with the people taking in the action of the watersport. Those mountains look great! In MHO (just to be awkward lol),If the people are there with no other option I think the composition would look just as good with more of the foreground and more people (esp to the left of pic) and less sky.

We have lots of places like this! I don't count the beach because it's a home from home for me, and our part of it is more OK than the very crowded bit!

I often go places just to turn around and leave when I get there; I used to feel guilty about it, but no more! Yes, too many people for my taste too, but I'm not a kid. I would have felt totally different 40 years ago! What a lovely place...

I hope you didn't let the local natives know about your over the top views on their faked up western town or it would have been "ten paces apart at high noon" for you Tara! hehe.. very nice capture indeed.

Great landscape, looks good for families with kids but I'd rather be up in the background.

OK, I giggled... several reasons... I always search for "facilities" when I'm out and only frequent the clean ones. And at 80 degrees, I would be happy as a clam because at so many of the mountain lakes here, it will stay between 90 and 100 during the summer! Best to lean toward the coastal areas and I mean ON the coast. At least then it will be in the 70s with a stiff breeze. As for crowds... I only mingle with them from afar. :-) This is a great summertime shot though. I love all the activity, especially since I wasn't there. LOL

Very nice , I love the mountains in the background, and it looks like all the people are thinking of jumping in. Maybe someone told them to jump in the lake....LOL. - Cheri
