Description
These are houses along the River Agout, Castres, France - once home to leather tanneries and cloth dying industries - they positively overhang the river.
Apparently, the houses look even more impressive at night, lit up, than they do during the day - but we weren't there at night!

I know about old tanneries and I can imagine what this waterway and those buildings must have looked like during that time. It is amazing to see how lovely it is now! And unlike others may feel, I can see from this shot that the clean up has been very successful and I'd love to have a flat with one of those balconies.
