Description

Well, I've decided to put some of my writing on here (on auntietk's suggestion) in lieu of more pictures. I'll put some more photos up soon, though. This is a poem I wrote, I think it was 11th or 12th grade, I can't quite recall. THe funny thing is, I wrote it in about 5-10 minutes in the middle of a particularly boring language arts lecture, just to satisfy the requirements for my writing portfolio that year (now I think of it, it was probably 12th grade) It's kind of a riddle, in a sense. See if you can figure out what the poem is about by the end of it. I just made the image in paint in about 2 minutes, just so there would be something there; it was bothering me. Music in the Night A brilliant explosion of Cyan ran itself down the black ocean even as the pale Crimson-hued rider hurled itself at its brother. A blast of Silver pelted the kaleidoscope with reserved violence, and the deafening tones blinded its edges with unrestrained beauty And reflecting the whirlpool of screaming color above, a pane of glass, unpredictable as water and mysterious as life, revealing itself to the Night, mirroring its father mimicking its heavenly companion reverberating the resplendent ringing of color And on the edge of this world of light and sound and beauty, imbued with such fantastic being, a queer sight, a contrast so inexplicably amazing, with articulate monotony the Blade of the Night cultivates a perfect compromise between the Origin, and the Provocation The flaming Night grasps its offspring, They extol each other in tumultuous color It is a sound, Magnificent... Overpowering... Glorious... The Melody and the Harmony, The Origin and the Provocation, Singing to each other's ecstatic music. _______________________________________________ Have you guessed yet? Probably not. Unless, of course, you already read the tags I wrote for this poem...Cheater. It's a poem about the Northern Lights, reflecting off of the ice below it.

Wowwwwww! This is really well done. I had shivers reading it! I didn't know it was about the Northern Lights until you said so, and of course I went back and read it again. Spectacular!!! (I am totally impressed that you wrote this while you were in high school, btw.) Thank you for posting this - I'll look forward to seeing more from you!
