Description

My old friend is done :-( This coming weekend I will help my old Jeep cross peacefully to the Great Rock Pile in the Sky. He is known by friends as "Conan" for his bravery and fierceness, and for never backing down from a challenge. He has carried me to remote places of such beauty that we would just sit there for hours gazing at the wonder of Mother Earth. We knew that few others were as fortunate as us to have seen it. Conan never complained that I dragged garbage out of the bush - it is a small price we pay to keep keep our lands free. He has been my constant companion for many a year and has kept me safe from harm. He has kept me somewhat dry and has only rarely gotten stuck. Oh, we have had a few disagreements, but they were short lived and quickly forgiven. Always eager for the next adventure I now say farewell and happy wheeling to my dear old friend. He will be missed. There will be a wake at my home Saturday evening and all my Jeep buddies are coming by to hoist a cold one and remember some darn good runs. My new Jeep will be ceremonially welcomed into the pack. It's a Jeep thing.
