Well, I guess I should spout a little about myself. I have been a hobby artist my whole life. I started out as a young boy making those flip page animations of UFO battles, car races, dragon flights etc. Typical little boy stuff lol. From there it grew into still-life sketches and fantasy style drawings. Once I got my first computer that was actually capable of rendering graphics I taught myself how to use image editing software and eventually web design. I have been working in a busy web development environment for the last 14 years, 10 of which were for the same company which I recently parted from. I am now freelance and loving it. My study of graphic arts continues and I am now learning this whole 3D thing. My strength has always been in human creation and organic, natural things, so Poser was a natural choice to further that passion. I have done quite a bit in Bryce, but I shelled out the big bucks for 3DS Max and am currently learning that on the side. The goal is eventually to branch into commercial renders, and to make my own clothing and props for my Poser figures. In my personal life I am a musician of 35 years (guitarist) and have toured extensively across most of western Canada in a handful of rock bands. I have done studio recordings as a session player and I dabble in writing as well. I have retired from that life now and have a family band with my wife and sons. At the time of this writing I am 48 years old. I am a tolerant, open, and good humored person and I love the outdoors. My other passion is back country exploration which I do in my Jeep, and most weekends I can be found in the bush at some secluded lake or some goat path back in the hills. I also love photography and am learning the ropes as I go. I have a Canon Rebel T2i. I live just outside Vancouver BC. The image above is just a short distance from my home. Anyways, that's me in a nut shell. Thanks for reading this.
