Description
This is a Damara Dikdik. A 4 or 5kg Antelope about the size of a small dog. It has characteristically large eyes for it's body size. This a male with small horns.
This shot was taken in the Namutoni region of Etosha national park - Namibia.
Kind regards.. Shaun.

The dikdik was created by the same people that brought you Hello Kitty;-)) Seriously, is there anything cuter on 4 legs? It has eyelashes!

Oh wow - fantastic catch of this very skittish little fellow! They are gorgeous antelope and the last one I saw in the wild was way back when I was just a little girl. Well done Shaun! :)

Well done, Shaun. Great that this one stood still long enough to be 'captured' - on film! Cheers, Clive

How very stunning. It makes me think that this species of deer is closest to the earliest deer found on the planet. Small and sturdy I would say and incredibly beautiful by what I see in your photo.
