Description
Just behind the beach is a couple of little memorials to the author Gavin Maxwell and his otter, Midge.
This idylic bay was where he spent his time, and the book "A ring of bright water" was set.

Very nice composition, Anthony. Quite light and dark, at the same time. Apparently artists from the COntinent came to Scotland in the 18th and 19th centuries to try and capture our evershifting light on superb scenery. What would they have made of the past week or so of gorgeous, dare I say it 'unseasonal' Scottish weather, with temperatures up into the mid 20s C / mid 80s F. I ain't complaining, though travelling two hours each way on First Bus is getting slightly wearing these days. Warm regards, my friend.
