Description
Not much grows over the volcanic ash and lava flows on Lanzarote.
The island is so dry, the landscape is almost as it was shortly after the eruptions ended and the lava cooled.

Nice POV, Anthony. I'll bet it was hot. All that volcanic rock would not be good for the boots though.. ;o) I must admit that I do not find it depressing, more awe inspiring,. The vast geologic forces formed this landscape, as they did that of Scotland. Our fabulous west coast, highlands and islands, probably has the most varied geology anywhere in the world, for such a relatively small place.
