Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Words well said. I try to live by these words. If you don't try, you won't get. Aloha

GOOD stuff, beach!! Old T.P. often operates on the above philosophy (Often, to his detriment? WINK). However, he has found in his earthly life travels the following saying to be well stated in factual observation: "Unless you're the LEAD dog, the 'scenery' NEVER changes!" GRINS. Keep On Keepin' On! My BEST to you and yours, KIND SOUL .... TallPockets/brian.

"Yesterday is gone and already a memory, tomorrow is not guaranteed and may not come, therefore today is all we really know to have, the moment we're living is now." I love your poem, the words are apt, too many I know that put things off till tomorrow. I've been smacked aside the head with a bat, a few years back, with the loss of two brothers, to know full well that there might not be a tomorrow. A lesson I will never forget.

Very true words, Marilyn. "Wait (weight) broke the wagon down..." And I know how the rest of it goes, but that doesn't apply here...like you said, 'Seize the day.'

I've heard it said: You can have a rich, full life, or your reasons why not! I know which I prefer.

Hi Marilyn...I missed this during my trek out of town to far flung places. Now, thinking about your words above, that trip fit right in! It is always nice to lounge in your living room or pull the covers up when it is bedtime, but if that is all you do 365 days a year, what have you got to show for it at the end of the year? Not much...BUT YOUR HARD DRIVE WOULD HAVE MORE SPACE LEFT ON IT. :-) Like your inspirational words here.
