Description
The badge was found on the sand in Juno Beach by a friend of mine (nowadays a Carabinieri's colonel) who gave it to me as a gift.
I think it's a Canadian Royal Artillery badge.
Well, I'm posting this picture just to remember the D-Day and the liberation of Europe.

Fascinating and touching tribute!!! I had to look up the Latin to see what it meant... I love the colors you used and the blending of the war time photos!! Very expressive and telling (imho) to give them an ethereal quality...Outstanding work!!!!!

I am Canadian and very proud of Canada's contribution in both great wars. Juno was Canada's beach so it likely is. The British and Canadian artillery hat badges were almost identical. My father’s cousin was with the Royal Canadian Artillery and landed on Juno. He was killed later near Caen on July 25, 1944. My father was one of 3 sons that all served during WW2 and all 3 came home. My father’s cousin was an only child and was killed, the family never got over it. Thank you for sharing.
