Description

Cute pair huh? Taken in Cades Cove in Tennessee. This would be a perfect place to hold a Renderosity gathering, hint hint. Rent a few large cabins and spend the mornings and early evenings exploring the streams and mountains. There is so much to see, and do, lots of wildlife, historic buildings, wildflowers, beautiful landscapes and close to the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg. One thing I love is two days a week they close the Cove loop to cars and its bikes only and it is an awesome way to see the Cove up close. I will admit I have had to get off my bike at times and walk it, a few hills that I just couldn't make :) but good time to break out the camera as you walk. It is part of the Smoky Mountains and the most visited National Park there is. And an awesome place for photography. I have joined another site, similar to this one and joined a group there that meets twice a year in the area. It would be fun to try to get a group together like that here. The autumn colors there are amazing, any takers? Thanks to all that took the time to visit my gallery and to comment on my work, I think this one 'In the Cove', is one of my favorites so far, I just love how it came out, and straight from the camera. I just added the frame. Thanks again. thumb_1896577.jpg

What a great portrait of these guys; being raised in LA I haven't any idea how to talk to horses, but I would imagine that if I had the chance to spend a little time with them I could learn their language. I have been to gatherings from other web sites in Chicago and in London and Bath; it was so much fun meeting people from other parts of the world, and the really interesting part was that deep down you sort of expect people to look like their avvies, and get really taken aback when they never do!

These two are really cute actually, and their expression as well as the feel to this photo are all softness and docility. Otherwise I remember visiting a little part of the Smoky mountains years ago, as I was working in North Carolina for a month ! Excellent capture and narrative!

Hehe. Kind of like a Burning Man? Gorgeous horses. There's a dude ranch here, and they make great cookouts for the visitors.
