Same setup - different camera positions...
A couple of years ago I started messing around with creating some engine glow purely in MJW (no postwork - it uses some transparency function graph). It was one of the pieces I lost in a HD crash so decided to re-build it this week with some modifications in mind. I have finally managed to apply the idea to a cone shape for a longer trail (although multiple cones looked a little odd on this particlar model).
Each glow shape has a point light 'manually attached' to it (I wish MJW could group & move models/primitives :)
Ideas for improvements very much appreciated...

Design is very interesting, render is nicely contrasted. Cool.

Interesting work Lewis. the top LHS for me shows me best the work. My only crit is to consider the amount of glow from the blast trails to the surrounding surfaces which is picked up...very slightly on the outer edges but is missing from the actual inner ring from where the blast orginates. Does locking lights help with the setup at all, from memory cant you lock to ..... ?! would love to see how you set the worldfile up. can you use differing colour gradients ie: white light fade to blues then red/yellows?!

Excellent work Lewis....Looks superb!!.....I'm with you on the "Group & move models/primitives"....that would be a very usefull improvement to MJW for all the model/primitive freaks like myself...^_^.

Very nice setup. It`s really hard to do such stuff in no-modeler applications like MojoWorld. Yes, the inability to group stuff in Mojo made me mad a lot off times too.
