Description

I remembered I had some pictures on my camera to upload yet. So I brought them in. This is the flame from the grill Tuesday night. I called Dave over to my computer. There were three shots total. This one had the most images in the flame. Look hard, full size it. It's like looking up at the clouds to see what you can make out of them. I know what I see, but tell me what you see. Have fun with this one. I did that's what took me so long to post. Thank you for all the wonderful and totally awesome comments on my previous posts. You are all so great. All the comments mean the world to me and I will cherish them always. Your Friend, Cheri

I see burning!!! Sorry,....and to think she even questioned my using a half a bottle of lighter fluid as I was getting things ready. This sucker flamed up so high, there were cars stopping in the street just to stop and enjoy it. Cheri was worried that the grill might be too close to the house, but she just doesn't understand man stuff like this. Heck, I had the grill at least 15 feet away, and the flames weren't getting any closer than halfway to the house,....or so. Honestly, we were looking at this before she posted it, and it was so much brighter then, not sure what happened. That little grouping up on the top left really resembled a woman reclining, and on the right side about halfway down looked just like a portrait of a cat.....I think I'll stay with burning! sigh.

I think the creative portion of my brain has croaked. Alas, I see nothing :( But fire makes such a beautiful subject itself, I still enjoy the image.

Ok I will give one of the things I see the big one collectively, it looks like a fire gollum, See his head and his pointly ears and nose, then his tail is behind him, and looks he want to give you a hug! OUCH.

Hot shot for sure! I see a lady with a funny hat and a dog with a long nose. Seeing these things must be what keeps an arsonist coming back to admire his/her work. LOL.

Transient flames always mesmerise me, Cheri. I sat for hours looking into the turf/peat, or log fire flames at my gran's, lost in mystical lands and former times. Soothing, calming, and alive, with those unexpected explosions of sparks, and the soft, crunchy falling sound as the turf or logs broke apart. Mmm .. definitely brings back memories... ;o) Warm regards, off to the seaside today with the pensioners of the parish. I packed my mack / plastic raincoat!!, John.

Mesmerizing. I see a partial face in the middle, sometimes with eye closed and then open. Overall, a fiery monster coming to get you. Great capture.

I can see a bird in the top half his beak to your right as you look at it, and also I see a profile of a person in the middle part further down. Great time finding out what I see, and perhaps if I look again will see something else. I used to love making pictures as I looked into the embers of the fire when I was a child. Great shot Cheri, hugs Jane xx

great image, I can see a boy in the back left (as we look at it) he look like he's jumping and waving his arms or dancing. I loved cloud watching when I was a kid, I must make time to do it again, the neibours might think I'm mad lying on the lawn but never mind!!

I love this kind of thing. First of all, I see a beautiful lady with her hair blowing across her lower face. Then, on the left, a monkey jumping towards a branch. I also see the goblin in the middle with it's tail. There is one more lady co-mingled with the ladies face. She is standing naked turning and walking away from us. Wow, so many visions. Kind of like our Madame Pele in the eruptions. You always see her. Well done. Aloha

Pyromancy is one of those things I picked up during the convoluted process of my initiation into an updated variation of Wicca. Yeah, it's funny what you have to go through when you realize that members of the Chicagoland Gay Pagans are pretty cute. Anyway, I don't see anything "specific" in the flames, but pyromancy is one of the things I learned, though I'm still partial to Tarot cards. They're easier to carry around, and they smell good when they've been seasoned with beer and fingerprints from multiple readings. Anyway...that's probably way too much information and none of it related to the image at hand, but oh well...I'll just chalk it up to that free association thingie. This is a great shot, abstract on so many levels, but also just fun to look at. Reading fire is a lot like looking for dragons and castles in clouds. You see what the mind immediately gloms onto, and that's half the fun...the other half is pretending it all makes sense. This is a great shot. I love the sense of color and motion and the way the centralmost part of the flame looks a lot like a Babylonian woman doing the Dance of the Seven Veils during a neutrino storm just beyond the the boundary of the Cygnus X-1 x-ray source. Hmmm...maybe I should cut back on the Czech beer that I've recently discovered in Chicago.
