i know its a late comment, if you have not found out the species yet, send an email to the Natural History Museum in London, they might help, they did when we found a Hummingbird Moth in Kent one year, sorry, waffling on. Great shot

Looks like a little alien (I do not want to imagine it 4 meters high!) Btw I did see a few years ago, I think this is a kind of egg state or larval state. I know the insect but I do not know the name. I think this insect has four state of metamorphosis
