KHEMEMET-IMEN HATSHEPSOUT ( Maâtkarê) about 1495-1455(????) BC ,daughter of Thoutmosis 1 and Ahmès For me the most important queen (and kings) of the pharaonic civilisation Egypt with her stepson Thoutmosis III(Menkheperrê) If she was an usuper woman for many egyptologs,....so the power generally is an usurpation Thank you for visits and comments http://quebec.to/c/microdess FORMAT painting: 81x60cm ( 25P)

Queen Ahmès was her mother. The Union between the God and Queen Ahmès was the official and religious practice of the time letting the royal daughter act in the role as the god's Wife. Hatshepsut also had acted in this role as her daughter. And what grand and mysterious ceremonies do we have today? None! It is sad. :( PHELINAS gives us a glimt of what it would have been like 3500 years ago, when Egypt was at its absolute height of power and richness. Set as favorite! I love artists who are aware of our ties to the past!
