This work is heavy with symbolism. notice that it is a woman who is crucified, and that they hide her face. The regime will never manage to suppress the pure female force, Neda sacrificed herself and in doing so became larger than life and a symbol that will eventually sweep away the ayatollahs. Another great painting from Phelinas.

Tout de suite, le tableau frappe par sa force....... notamment la femme voilée crucifiée et dont la liberté a été mise au pilori, la femme allaitant, source de vie, et la femme nue, qu'on peut supposer libre de toute entrave.......les symboles sont très puissants, une oeuvre magnifique, Jean !
