Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Neat POV!!... hey!...pssst!!!, you are driving on the wrong side of the road LOL
MrsRatbag
LOL @ Ronnie! Doesn't look like there's ROOM for a side of the road! But if you're gonna go, what a gorgeous place to do it; like you're already in heaven. Fantastic shot, and I for one am glad you weren't driving so that you could get this capture!

Cool point of capture! Good luck and hope the trip is fun.

I'm glad you took this picture too.....both of my hands were tied up on the steering wheel. Some tight places especially when passing another car...inches between us. Nice shot and stay safe on your road trip. Aloha

Oh, that roadway looks treacherous...but you survived it and came back to tell us all about it. Hope you have a safe drive to see your son and stay safe river-rafting.

Does remind me of my mountain road to Ft. Bragg. Barely room for an on-coming car...or logging truck. I envy your trip to Yosemite... some day I must see if for myself. Lodging in the area puts me off since I can't do a day trip there and rates for overnight, even in campgrounds when you can find one, are more than the gas to drive there.

Have a great trip, and try to stay in the boat this time! :) I'm glad Errol was driving, because I know you ... you'd have taken the photo anyway!! Excellent shot.

I thought that was going up Waipio Valley. Yes indeed, it is a very dangerous place to drive. As Errol said, some places are just inches from oncoming cars. Great shot. Mine usually get blurred, as my husband loves to speed too much. Aloha and have a safe trip.

Very creative to include the car and details in the POV. I hope you have fun, safe travel to you! ...yes Ronnie, they are daredevils to drive on that side of the road, aren't they! :-|

Fantastic POV, I agree there. Hopefully you're off to have fun. And yeah, this is a cool road shot with a great perspective.

Funny...RJ above says you are driving on the wrong side of the road. It looks narrow enough to have only one side:-) Cool shot that fits your title perfectly. Have a fine trip.

when I first saw this, I thought it was you driving to see your son & I was gonna say, "pssst: try to take a highway!" It doesn't surprise me that there are roads like this, and I'm glad it wasn't you driving, because I wouldn't wanna stop to take a picture if I were driving on a road like that. (Though Tara seems to think you'd take the picture anyway!) Wonderful car-interior shot. And the only way I'd go on that road is walk...

IMPRESSIONANT !!

You must have had a great trip. I think road trips are one of the best types of travel. I recently traveled through Virginia by car as well. First, I rented a car from Enterprise in Virginia Beach on Rental24.co.uk and drove around the most beautiful places in the state
