Description
I just spent two days with my son near Yosemite, hanging out on the Merced River, hiking, camping, having a blast. We did a river trip yesterday, and WOW, Holy Moly and Yow--was it GREAT!!!! Class 3 and a couple of 4's--and everything went exactly as it was supposed to!! Sometimes things just go so well, so good -- I'm reminded how blessed I am.
(no, this isn't one of the falls in Yosemite; I didn't get into the park at all this trip, in fact, didn't even take my usual 8 gazillion fotos--just the way it goes sometimes!)

But it sounds like you had a great time, even without 8 million photos! And this is beautiful. Yosemite is probably packed this time of year anyway. It's better in the spring!

Maybe you could install one of these falls/fountains in my backyard. Just think of the pleasant sounds. Way to go on your river trip! A little sunburn maybe???

This came out nice Maz, great contrasts in this!, 8 million photos, I see my baby doll has not been honest about that new camera of hers, and what's this?...8 gazillion, I must be missing one of these serious memory cards, where does one buy them?.. LOL

I just love the branches framing the scene below, very well captured Marilyn. It is one place I would certainly love to see if I visit the States.

big bold spill of a shot, and yeah I thought it was Yosemite at first, too. But it's fine: It's another bursting place. Nice how the greenery & such frame the water. And the water makes a big abstract splash in the photo—as if it were a painting. Fine shot, and I'm glad you had a great time on the river with your son! I'll be back for more...don't wanna miss hawaii...
