Thought provoking painting, Ana. It makes me think of how we can become machines as we mechanically function in jobs and many other capacities that drain us and turn us in robot like functionaries. Oooh! Not a positive thought, but I bet many have felt that at times in their lives.

another powerful image, Ana. It looks to me like many people lifting a huge object. And the object is heavy, but they're succeeding, i.e., they're actually moving it. I see something positive in that. But what's most powerful is your 'language': your brush-language, the poetry of your forms. You articulate the human form with such power. You paint black & grays next to each other with real power. You mass human forms in a musical way, they 'move' in a musical way. You have dashes of rust-red in spots, a kind of dark ochre color. (I just love how you do that.) And you use washes so well, and empty space too. Also, I love your framing here: It's as if the painting is floating. Very fine & powerful. Your work is always provocative, inward & intense...

incredible, my eyes are not that much catched by the thing they seem to move, it is their appearance and how they interact together! its so sublte in its communication between each individual, yet the group looks like an unkown crowd in the same moment! quite another one of your wonderfully thoughtful and sensitive drawings, ana :)))))

Very geometric to me. Also like the curving diagonal that divides the composition emerging from the right side. Nice warm edge highlights the ochres.
