Malli was trying to get the restaurant locked up due to the air-raid siren going off. She got to the front door as an eight foot monster screeched to a halt out-side the glass door. She stepped back and gave out a shriek. The bell on the door tinkled ironically as the creature came in. It said in a deep, rumbling buzzing voice, "I haz moniez! You have chickenz! I give you moniez! You give chickenz!" Her dad came rushing in after the creature started speaking and swore in fear under his breath. He opened his mouth to say something, as the door flew up as a breathless noble ran in. Sir Tavi Delgado, Knight of Kaylee, said, "Forgive my friend! He wants to eat, before the Asurans get to the planet!" Malli licked her dry lips and said, "We're shut down due to the air-raid. Uhm.....we don't have any cooked chickens left, but we DO have a roasted turkey." The creature looked at her and asked with a cocked head, "Turkey? What iz?" She started to explain,"Well, it's like a giant chicken..." "GIANT CHICKENZ? MOG-LOL! I haz giant moniez! Gimme, gimme!" The creature shouted in delight and almost danced around. Tavi groaned and said, 'Prince! Your INSIDE voice?" Malli brought out the roasted turkey on a plate and asked, "Would you like a box to put it...in?" The River Prince flipped the turkey over and grabbed it up by the spine and took a bite out of the breast with a chomp. She blinked and muttered, "Or not...." Prince said, "Not like chickenz. Iz not juicy. Have milkz?" he put down the turkey and tore the end off the gold bar he had in his other hand. He turned to his friend ,Tavi and said, "Here! Giant moniez! You haz giant chickenz,too!" Lord Delgado laughed and said, "I'll hold on to it for you. You need to learn about MONEY. Singular?" Malli's father came out with a gallon jug of milk and sat it down on the table where the plate was. He said, "Since you're with Lord Delgado, it's on the house." Prince shook his head and said, "Iz on tablez!" Tavi said, "He means it's free. It's all yours" To the man, he said, "Thank you for your generosity, Sir and miss." Prince grabbed up his turkey and said, 'Iz good chickenz, giant sized!" He walked out into the waning rain, happily saying, "I HAZ CHICKENZ!" He bit through one leg with a crunch and drank a huge draft of milk from the jug. Around the corner, up ahead, running feet skidded to a halt before him. Sunshine, the cyclops child looked and him and squealed in delight. She then looked sternly at him and jumped up on a cinder block and crossly said, "You didn't STEAL that did you?" Prince started to nibble on one wing of the turkey and pronounced, "I am in your stores, eating your giant chickenz and giving away giant moniez! Tavi saw! Asking him." Around the corner, Sunshine heard running feet coming up on her. She heard Lime and Captain Tkarro calling for her. She turned and answered, "I'm over here! I found River Prince! And Lord Delgado!" Lord Delgado was trying to explain to Malli about how he was handler for the River Prince, who was working for the UCSF and was a member of ESWAT, when he heard all the shouting. He feared the worst. Prince was a very gentle monster, but could tear through a bank vault door if angered. He saw the monster cower before the girl as she demanded,"Gimme a giant chicken leg! You said you'd share! One with NO slobber!" Prince knew he was beaten and offered her one. Lord Delgado laughed as the others chasing Sunshine came around the corner. Prince of the Talak River muttered sadly, "Hrzzzzz, Sharingz is very hard! At least I haz most of giant chickenz!" Sunshine bit into the leg and said, "It's called a TURKEY, you turkey." Prince just shook his head, "Iz mine! So iz giant chickenz!" Captain Tkarro asked, "Where in hell is the bomb-shelter in this neighborhood?" Malli pointed down the street. --TO BE CONTINUED!--
