Description

During the height of the initial Imperial Blitz into human space, the tattered remnants of the sector fleet teamed up with resistance movements and mercenaries in the sector and were very successful in smuggling supplies to beleagured ground forces. Because constant raids and insurgent actions near Venalia had degraded the enemy's forces there, it became the weakspot that most blockade runners tried to push through. It was also the shortest distance between the occupied zone and the nearest free worlds. It became known as the Venalia Run. Was really just messing around with lighting and simulating wear and tear on my ships using the burn tool in GIMP. I rendered this image and really liked it. Enjoy, and let me know what you think. (I tried to go for subtlety on the wear and tear of the lead ship, I didn't want it to look like it wasn't well kept or for you to even notice the wear, beyond making it look more realistic overall. Hopefully, you won't immediately notice specific areas where the hull's degraded from use, but you'll just get an overall sense that it looks somewhat realistically worn...let me know how I did).
