Description
Our peonies bloomed. I almost missed it. I haven't been paying attention to them at all. After I got a shot of this one Dave cut it and brought it in the house. I love the smell, but so do the bees and ants. They are so totally worth it though.
I thought I would share my peony with you.

Whoa!! I didn't realize you got so up close and personal with this, and even got a few bonus bugs. I remember as a kid, we had these growing almost half the length of a very long driveway. I figured I'd cut more than just a few and arrange them in a vase for my mom as a surprise. They were among her favorite flowers, ....probably why there were so many? She returned home, and could smell them as soon as she walked in the back door. She had the biggest smile on her face, and I stood beaming that I had caused this great pleasure. Her smile quickly changed however, as she looked down at the table literally crawling with every sort and size of bug,......and that is when I learned you really have to shake Peonies out, upside down, BEFORE bringing them into the house. Great shot sweetie,....and yes...I shook em!
