Description

Centuries ago, a young Dragon chose a mountain range as his kingdom. Standing atop the highest peak one morning, he roared a challenge. His defiance echoed across the skies like thunder. Soon, they came. Moreover, each morning the young prince would climb above the bodies of his dead challengers and roar in triumph. "Here I stand." Throughout the evenings the ground shook with such savagery that people left the surrounding lands, the nearby villages were abandoned. Deer, moose, and even large predators decided to find better, more peaceful hunting grounds. The war to be King of the mountain continued for more than a hundred years. Then they stopped. Centuries passed, and the King of the mountain passed into myth and legend. People and animal returned, and the land was at peace again. He quenched his thirst and fed on large fish and squid. Then flinging off the water used to wash away the dust from his ages long sleep. The young wyrm now in his prime, ascended to his throne on the highest mountain peak. The roar of his defiant challenge cracked the dawn skies, and echoed across the lands for hundreds of miles. Startling birds from the trees, causing the animals to run and hide in fear. People awoke with a sinking feeling in their stomachs as they realized that the King Of The Mountain had waken. "Here I stand." I used some photoshop in this image and suddenly i realised that i dearly missed drawing, the feel of the paper, getting my fingers smudged and dirty. As much as i love 3d art. It isnt the same.. I wish I had drawn this image. Link for a larger image : kingofthemountian3.th.jpg

I agree with Wrpspeed -- a full view of this picture would have been better! This picture is already scary -- full body would have made us dragon lovers even more satisfied.

He's a handsome fellow, but not the best neighbor in the world! Excellent texture and detail, down to the saliva in his mouth and mad look in his eye. I think he should eat a Scourge Retriever unit so his life could get more interesting!
