Description

Not the most beautifully shaped rose some of the edges are starting to turn dark so I clipped this one and put in a vase. Looked at it for a day and decided to take some shots and see what would happen. I like the way the lights accentuated the pedals, I used a flashlight to bring out the center of the flower just a little. I liked the darker tones so I decided to leave it a little darker than usual; something different for me. Thanks for taking your time to stop by and for any comments you care to leave. Have a great week!

Nicely done. You just can't go wrong photographing a rose...this is a unique presentation which sets it apart in a good way.

Super lighting effects in this dark image of a red rose, probably one of the most photographed species of flora in the whole wide world. You did a fine job with the color red, one of my biggest frustrations and hurdles in rose photography.

I like what you did with the flashlight, leaving it darker really made it stand out. When will this heat end and hope you hard good luck hunting those damsels and dragons.

Reds are hard to photograph, at least I think so. Very nicely done. Love the deep red tones to it. Aloha

This is gorgeous .. I really like the dark background for this very beautifully fully opened rose, gives it an air of drama, don't you think?
