Wonderful capture. I can see how so-called primitive peoples believed that even inanimate objects possessed souls.

My eye is drawn to the spot of sun on the distant sliding rock in the background. At least it appears sliding to me. I feel like I would like to be there, sitting in the sun and admiring all the ruins. Wonderful photograph, Ana.

Ana, your photography has a boldness & monumental quality that is so physical and so "sculptural". I always feel that from your photographs. They're in your line drawings & paintings as well: You get at essences immediately. This is gorgeous. And, full-size, it's almost a whole world. The opening in the "arch" exposes just enough of the rocks around it to make us feel a whole 'universe' lies beyond——you choose background space so dramatically, Ana; you always do. And the wonderful shadow on the stone bathes it in 'reflection'/reflexão, while the sunlight pours in beautifully at the top, making it seem very majestic, like the face of a great bird. It's beautiful and monumental; and that's all before I noticed the stone in the center, embraced! It's like the stone is growing "out" of this big rock structure! Ai, your sculpture background shows so powerfully in shots like these! This is playful, yes, and an embrace: But it's also a terrific shot of a rock structure, sitting there like it owns the world; and reaching for the sunlight—top, right—like the sun exists only for it, and it alone. Beautiful shot. May your day be as bold & beautiful as this!

You have that artistic eye which sees through things and uncover them to others by just adding... a name. Bravo. And thanks for your support.
