Description

This is the damsel that landed in my hair. The one Dave tried to get a picture of . He posed so nicely. There for this damsel is not in distress, at least not from me. Day four of the oppressive heat, we had one good shower this morning, but that just seemed to make it more humid. Hoping we have some bigger storms with cool high winds. Then it can kick some of the heat out of the house! Take care and stay cool. Thank you for all the awesome comments on my previous posts, they all mean so much to me. Stellar capture, especially of the damselfly, which still fascinates me with that elongated body, Cheri. Nice long diaphanous wings, to boot. As for your endless heat, haven't heard anyone deriding the theory of global warming for a while.

As crazy as the weather has been worldwide I am a Global Warming believer. We have massacred the rain forest, blew toxic chemicals in the atmosphere not to mention the bomb testing and the actual bomb itself. What did everybody think was going to happen?

After she got this shot, the little one flew up into the air, and landed on Cheri's hair. I took the camera from her and told her to hold still,(she didn't know). Telling someone to hold still when they don't know why is almost like saying to someone don't look now! I don't think that one has ever worked either, anyway she moved and it flew away....sigh. Maybe we should just go back to bigger and less skittish things,.............like giraffes perhaps.
