Description

This little blue damselfly was hiding in the weeds at Millers Pond. He was being hunted by a variety of predators, including the notorious ninja photographer...... Stealthily the I crept up beside him and before he could do anything about .....snap, I got the picture. I have never seen so many damselflies and and dragonflies in my life the place was loaded. Dave even tried to get a picture of one in my hair. Guess what I have lots of pictures of....... I hope you enjoy him, and thank you for looking. Thank you for all the comments and favorites on my previous post, they mean so much to me. It's another hot one here so stay cool. Friends always, Cheri

Your steady stealth really paid off in this one, Cheri. Really keen capture of the damselfly with the elongated segmented bod. Sorry about your heat in Oskosh. We usally get that in September and October. Do you have a Wittman Airport in your vicinity?

It is hot up here in Canada today as well, but I am not going to complain too much as it is better than -50c. Great shot Cheri.Glad Dave wrote and mentioned your gallery. Hope he gets brave and starts posting as well.

This certainly turned out great, she really did a lot of sneaking! Perhaps it would help if everyone understood the camera Cheri is using. It really does take great pictures, but I got it for her because so many of the shots she took were more of the motionless variety, and it really is awesome for that. All you need to do is push the button,...wait about 5 seconds and voila!!! To manage a capture of anything beyond something being perfectly still is a total crap shoot, and yet she's managed to post some of them here too. She's been drooling over better cameras of late, I can't even imagine some of the stuff she'll be displaying once she gets one of those.

Get a Panasonic TZ3! You can zoom on macro! So from 7 feet away you can fill the screen with an insect.
