Description

The Komondo Dragon or (Varanus Komonensis) is only found in the wild within Komondo Island National Park. The island was formed by a volcano a really long time ago. An adult can be up to 8ft. long and weigh in at 200 lbs. They can eat their weight in food and are the top predator in their island domain. They prey upon Saundra deer, wild boar, and a wide range of fauna including their own young. Komondo Dragon bites are not just dangerous because of the destruction they can inflict, but because of the heavily bacteria dosed saliva, Their saliva contains over 50 different strains, 7 which are highly septic and 4 unspecified strains which there are no known antidotes for. If they bite another Komondo it does not effect them, because of this scientist are studying their immune systems. Ok today's lesson class don't let a Komondo Dragon bite you ! Ok class recess. Thank you for all the comments on my previous posts, they mean so much to me. Thank you for looking and I hope you learned something new. Have a most glorious time! Your friend always, Cheri
