My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Beautiful pot.....I'm just wondering how tall is it....no one would steal that.

lol, between your scholars, mike's newscast, and dave & cheri (who have one of the best routines going in her gallery, on all of RR), this is a small comedy routine! I tried to think of something funny, but since most of my recent efforts have fallen about as flat as my screen, I'll spare you. But I can say that the inscription is Old Norse for "what the f___ YOU lookin' at!" (That's approximate.) I don't want to break the spell, but it is a fine shot, the cropping is fine, the play between the shiny surface and those ancient-looking inscriptions is fine, and the the light on the pot is wonderful. Love the shot. If the worst you had, during your illness, was visiting scholars, you did ok. When the actual ancients start dancing in your living room, you got problems. Love the shot. "Nice reflections" wouldn't come close to how well you capture pots!

Two thoughts came immediately to mind when I looked at this picture and read the story. 1: are you Bluish? and 2: I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that... Very nice pot with lovely reflections. And it's amazing that you got that close without being seen. I have a theory that the hieroglyphics say something completely ordinary like: "Don't forget to water the trash" in High-Pot (a very complicated language, I'm told.) This is fun stuff; I like it a lot...and now that I think of it, the pots are taking over, and the owls are not what they seem.
