UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Good work Bill. The vanishing point goes up in a shaft of light. Happy use of streaked glass.

GREAT WORK MR. BILL. You answered my question about the bent and twisted beer can building yesterday with such speed that I now have another question. Who is the fellow getting into the white car in front of the UBS Building in this pix? Got you stumped don't I. Hee Hee, Cheers, mug lifted in your direction

So why the heck didn't you just step out on that ledge and clean that window off??? LOL Fabulous view. Even with the dirty window, there is so much to appreciate in this shot.

fantastic sight ..you can almost touch the clouds!!

I marvel at the depth of field and clarity in these top of the zillionth floor shots of yours, Bill! I don't get a sense of acrophobia with this one. Stellar contrast between the compact and ordered cubism of the bottom contrasted with the fluffy, free and easy cloud effects of the sky above.

Bill I'll stop here, only because I want to hit a few more galleries before going back to sleep...I'll get the rest of yours in the next day or two, for sure. But why end here? My apartment is visible from here! I can't point it out, because the landmarks are hard to explain, but I'm in the line of buildings on the right, about 2 inches in from the Lake and about half an inch down from the skyline. (Thanks Mark, that helps a lot!) Well I'm there, trust me! That's the Near North, and its a mass of highrises and water. And you got the dusty sky, and line of sun cutting across the higher areas. And way up there, in the foggy distance, is Chicago's far North Side, where I was born and lived many years. The lake goes up & up: This is just the verrrrry southern tip. Nice shot Bill, and it shows how flat and sprawling this place really is. ("It's flat! I always forget"—tara. Lol. Yep, that's the midwest! In fact, we're flatter than you are, Bill!) And amazing to think that much of this was built on a swamp, where you couldn't keep a wooden house level for long...I'll return for the rest soon; it's just great to walk in your gallery, you gotta know that!
