Just 4 spheres who stopped by & said hello... I'll be commenting again tonight. I've had a ton of work, but I'll return to your galleries once again! It's always a great pleasure, believe me...

These look like the sphere I have right in my living room window. There are 3 of them, guess I'll have to snag one of yours to make it a set!! The colors and designs here fairly vibrate with life and even mystery!! Each one has its own presence; the first could be a crystal ball. Great work, Mark!!

fine images, mark and welcome back

see the music that is so much a part of your work; particularly like the movement in the third one with the 4th one lending the asmospheric spiritual texture all the elements perhaps

I love your colors. It appears the more you add, the brighter things become in contrast to my experience...the more layers, the muddier :-)))

Amazing play of colors and lights. Excellent work!!!

That top one holds the same fascination for me as glass marbles once did! and the 3rd one even more so! The bottom one is like an afterlife of one of the second one.

I can't get enough of your work. You plunge the viewer into the depths of consciousness and perception with the simplest of triggers - four spheres become four separate but overlapping universes, four windows to infinity, four completely different ways of seeing... Wow!

WOW ! A globe around a world where I see a castle in rocks and an ocean so deep, that it goes down to another world, The red one... is that hell? :-) I dont hope so... it could be a shortcut to the inside of Mars. :-) And then a far galaxy and at last the big BOOOOMMM :-))) One thing I sure. I love all 4. They are so beautiful. Awesome art Mark. FAV for sure.

I am reminded of those glass handmade globes I see in a local artist gallery that hang in the window and play with the sunlight. I also see eyes in some of these which give them an eerie quality. For me Holst's planets come to mind as I gaze at the energy behind your creations. To me, first one would be Neptune, the Mystic, the second, Mars, the Bringer of War, the third Mercury, the Winged Messenger, and the last one Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age. I hope I got all those titles correctly. Sorry, I can rarely let an abstract go without my telling it what it stands for. I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to abstract design, and, I find meaning everywhere. In any case, they're full of color, movement, light and shapes, and just as inspirational to see as if I was hearing music.

Fine and intense work!

These are magnificent Mark and far from just common spheres as you hinted at ;) The first reminds me of a lamp my Aunt had when I was a little boy, really wonderful. The second reminds me of a Christmas ball that is hand painted and so beautiful. The 3rd is like a dream like image, really has such depth almost like looking into someone's soul. The fourth is so alive and fiery, really dramatic feel to it. NIce work on all Mark

Oh man... what have we here? So many choices. I see a big bang and some beautiful gaseous clouds that are packed with swirling life and intelligence. The bottom one does remind me of cell division and the texture is amazing! This takes me back to younger days when I would watch the formation of colors blending in harmony within the bubble soap spheres in the sunshine! Very VERY cool, Mark.

Gaze into the crystal ball....what do you see? Or, shades of the movie, 2001-A Space Odyssey, especially the bottom sphere. Ultra stellar collage of these magical orbs, Mark, where wild, swirling textures and vivid shades, hues and tints of color abound!

From the infinite galaxy of your imagination. Lovely. CC

Sphere one has a layer of fog from the ocean's edge with the castles shining in the distance. Sphere two shows the path through the woods at sundown. Sphere three shows the same scene but later in the evening with the willow-the-wisp playing tag with the local faeries. Sphere four shows the beginning of a new universe and worlds. Great work Mark! :o)

I see here a philosophical meeting between the four spheres of human knowledge...and the essence and impetus of the search to fill the existential void. A meeting half way between beliefs (religious, occult and mythical): "in search of truth in a superior dimension"... and the exact sciences which seek the truth in the human dimension, also the social sciences who seek the truth inside of human behavior, and finally the ether:the universe of knowledge. Yet the spheres have something to do with the music and its own concept in its deeper way! Mark, these thoughts came to my mind seeing your beautiful image. All these transparencies, the great lightness and bright, the contrasts between colours and how I can cross them ... and in bottom the inner light of the earth and all the music that I can see in mouvement drawed inside your image...Your image makes think and is very deep in its concept. Bravo.A fav.

I have a glass ball made from Mt. Saint Helen's ash (it's quite ordinary ... we all have one ... there was a law enacted shortly after the mountain blew up ... every man, woman and child in Washington State is required to have a St. Helens ash ball ... because we had to do SOMEthing with all that ash, and some bright kid figured out there was money to be made from recycling our trash). Anyway, I digress. I have this glass ball made from verrrrrry small, melted pieces of Mount Saint Helens, and that's the first thing I thought of when I saw the first one (which is hands down my favorite of them all, btw - it has amazing depth!). Gorgeous work, all of them! You do the most beautiful stuff. What a pleasure to see your post today!

Lovely spherical transitions, full of energy!
three_grrr
I can see the relatedness of the first three, I see ocean and castles and skies, I see different moods and different times of day, it's a fantasy workd captured within the glass orbs .. do the inhabitants need their freedom? Or is this their world which they can easily come and go, to and fro? The last orb is the best .. it is outer space, unlimited, unfettered, yet somehow contained within the sphere ... All are awesome ..

I love the idea that you made spheres out of your art. This is so great!
