Description

When I was at Wight's Nursery I walked through their gift shop and couldn't help but notice a display they had of glassware. This stuff was mostly clear, but the pieces had bits of rainbow colors as well (and some more than a bit), and it just blew me away! The colors you see are actually IN the glass. They aren't reflections of the surroundings, and I didn't add them in postwork. These are meant to be summer party glasses, and boy, were they festive!

wow, stunning! Amazing that this is all in the glass; but that's the wonderful thing about glass, that it can look like it's reflecting or picking up light or channeling or transforming light, and all of that can be coming from right inside the glass itself. A sumptuous shot with lots of motion; and the more you look, the more you realize the glass you 'thought' was there, wasn't; that it's a different shaped glass entirely. Hope you're feeling better tara; this shot should help revive you...

Before coming to this photo to comment, I stopped by your gallery page. You should get an award for best yard...between your glassware and pots, the colors are wonderful. This light and glass shot takes the entire subject up a notch. Wow.

Another example of your astonishing 'eye'! It is a busy but really invigorating image. I expect to see a closer-up of this close-up soon, all those exciting patterns!

I love all the rainbow colors through the glass. It is refracting the light and separating the color spectrum. Awesome. This is so cool. Sorry the teacher in me.

This is amazing and offers a rich array of colors and shapes...I could easily get lost in this and not experience a moment's care. I love the abstract quality of this, the way the glass plays with perceptions, being both there and not there...almost like a Stanley Kubric movie ending...well...at least ONE of his movie endings, and all this image needs is moody and equally interesting music by Gyorgi Legetti! This is fantastic work! I love it!

Stunning. It's incredibly complex and complicated but not confusing and jumbled. I love the intensity of the colors and the reflections. It reminds me of a hall of mirrors at an amusement park where everything is a reflection or distorted. This is great!
