Description

A couple years ago when I was just starting to take pictures, I went to the Walsterway Iris Gardens with Ann and took a million photographs of flowers, and about three of the dog that was hanging around the yard. I posted one of the doggie portraits and just called it "Walster's Dog," because I didn't know his name. I'm sure many of you know about how much attention a two-year-old post here on RR gets! Like ... nothing, right? Imagine my surprise about a month ago when I not only got a comment on "Walster's Dog," but the comment basically said, "Hey cool, that's my dog!" The Walsters have a daughter named Kim who helps them out at the garden, and she was looking on the internet for stuff related to Walsterway and came across the portrait of her dog. (How cool is THAT!) (I know there's at least one or two of you wondering what the dog looks like ... you can see it here if you're one of them.) So when Ann and I went out there again this year, I made a point of finding Kim and introducing myself. Now I ask you ... is there a better place on the net? Renderosity has not only allowed me to meet people all over the world, but right here in my own neighborhood, as well! Oh yeah ... and as long as I was there ... I took another million iris pics. I'm going to make you look at all of them, too! Mwaaaaahaahaahaahaaaaa!!!! (Oops! Thanks, Bill! The dog's name is Bear.)
