Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

You got a wonderful all round view from this great vantage point. The buildings look lovely and clear in this capture.

Excellent shot! I'm going to have to look at the rest of them now. : )

Always nice to see Lake Michigan and the skyline of Chicago :-) Most beautiful city and capture! When I've been there, maybe on the same spot like you, the Trump Tower haven't been there yet. So thanks for the update!

I have to go & I will catch up with the rest of your offerings, but I had to comment on this for obvious reasons: Another of your beautiful panoramic shots of Downtown & nearby Chicago, with the lake just sitting their silently. (Well it's not so silent some days...its storms have eaten up foundations of high rises, further north.) I walk & work in this area everyday; and if you want to see my apt, its in the line of apts far left, just before the apts give way to a tiny patch of land before the water takes over. (That patch of land is Lincoln Park, btw.) I can see much of this from my window too, and at sunrise it's spectacular & the lake reminds us that it's been here a lot longer than these highrises, and could—if it wanted—eat up the whole place. Another beautiful shot from the 99th floor, and I'll be back by the weekend to catch up with the rest. Such fine work from this trip, Bill. (But you're whole gallery is fine work...)

Beautiful view Bill. As to Donald Trump, maybe he is getting old! Or maybe he is making adjustments for the economy, who knows? In any case, nice view!
