UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great shot, great fun. Don't have to go through the security checks, pay extra for baggage and it goes where you want it to go.

I love the POV at child's height! wonderful capture, but I'm sure that passenger service there is better than that in Italy. BTW I'm a fan of the Santa Fe Railway's history!

Super train & great character driving it. Red sounds good to me, my favourite colour.

This was a cool train. Z.Z. Top dude part two, driving it. His mate, of course was eating his Taco down a way! Lovely picture again. Rob.

the local rail museum is fixing to move to Frisco Texas and some of the locomotives has not been moved for 40 years. I hope to capture them moving

Do you hear that whistle down the line? I figure that it's engine number forty-nine, She's the only one that'll sound that way. On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe... Stellar POV employed to capture the wonderful clarity, color and depth of this happy choo-choo and its smiling passengers, Bill!

A local park is home to a small gauge railway, mainly steam.I've always admired the enthusiasts who run these things.A small scale steam train is no easier to drive than a big one 'apparently'.Another great picture Bill, thanks.

We have a similar railway near us Bill. I am always amazed at the amount of love and care that goes into the whole experience, staffed entirely by volunteers. I still have to work out the best way to sit on it so my legs don't keep going to sleep. http://yfrog.com/5umvc473fjx
