Description

This rose was in an arrangement from a florist, so who knows how the edges got to be that green color? The only thing I'm sure about is that I didn't do it! I'll admit to postwork (it would be silly not to) but only to make it look like a painting. I didn't change the color.

I've seen some green edged roses and it's amazing how they do that. At least I think they were roses, but all I know about flowers of that particular variety are that they're related to strawberries, which explains their shape when the petals are closed. The colors are light here are perfect! I love it!

I know florists sometimes DO did flowers! My late wife used to work in a florist..... This is quite a stunner of a rose! Really well taken. Interesting as well, because of the colour, Rob.

Interesting color,...never seen one quite like this before! First stalking pots, now roses, this is like never ending with you. I love it, but hope Cheri doesn't see it, or she'll have a new favorite flower, not sure how I'm expected to keep it all straight! Beautiful pic!!

You sis make it look like a painting and your postwork is absolutely beautiful. I don't know how they do it either, but I've seen it done up here to make yellow roses Packer colors for fans.

Nice rose just the right amount of post work, not sure about the green I saw some ice plants that had been painted blue for effect when they didn't need it.

Yes, it has a painterly feeling, though it also could be cloth or fine silk...your postwork didn't interfere, merely brought out inner qualities; and there's a fragile delicate feeling to the petals, and up close there's this slight dissolve on the edges that makes it feel like a dream. Beautiful work Tara, and a very enticing capture too.
