Description

A pilot must always be alert, not getting fixated on his target. That seems to be what is happening to the Mustang pilot. Looks better full size. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

what's needed here is a Lag Displacement Roll, which would take the P-51 out of the line of fire, and possibly set up a shot for his wingman; this would also cause the BF-109 the P-51 pilot was gunning for to completely lose sight of his pursuer for a moment or two. which means nothing if the Yank pilot fails to glance at his 9 0'clock high. yeah, i know, i'm a dogfight nut. awesome work Dave!

yeas you portrait it right man,the germans where not as clowny ,as they where showed off in the old movies,they had the best soldier of the world,a soldier who was able to fight even if his stomach was empty,wich is not the case in todays modern armies.. and their pilots where aces as well,or a big part of them at least.

Judging by the victory-chart on that 109's tail that is quite an ace flying that machine.... so I wouldn't be surprised if the Mustang is a wingman, defending his leader, attacking a plane flown by one of the poorly trained pilots that the luftwaffe had to put into the fight at the end-stage of the war, only to fall into the trap set by this ace-pilot who had probably already been flying and fighting for several years... (Allright, got a bit carried away, but this image just gives me that feeling...)
